The story of
a romantic
Behind the laptop

Always a writer
I wrote my first book at about ten years old. It was about a group of hockey players. I was clearly writing sports dramas before they became popular! I then wrote my first 'proper' book at fiften, a book that I self-published, so copies of it must still exist out there today (but no, I won't tell you what it was called!)
In my early twenties, I started writing thrillers and had some success with them, finding an agent. But I lost my passion for the genre. I was drawn more towards romantasy... and thinking again about my own romantasy book. A book I began writing at nineteen. Rather like a 'one that got away', I'd never really gotten over that book.
Because I thought that book was special. I loved the characters. The concepts. The themes, which seemed more right than ever to share with the world.
I picked the book up once more...
And this time I finished it.
To say I feel nervous that Carousel is now out in the world is an understatement. But... into the world (or, more specifically, the clouds) she must go.
I hope you enjoy this trip to the sky.
